Mijas & Estepona Weddings can guide and assist you to plan your dream wedding (or other event) in our large selection of quality private villas. We hold a limited number of events each year, ensuring the villas stay in top condition and making your event absolutely exclusive. Our bespoke, personal and unique service covers everything from a large gala event to a small intimate celebration.
About me - Tara Reichow
When I got married in 2009 Spain was the obvious place to hold our special day. I can quite literally personally recommend it.
"By trade" I'm a solicitor, having worked for one of the largest law firms in Birmingham for a number of years. After successfully planning my own wedding and my sister's in Spain, more friends and family starting asking for my help. I then made the change in career to join the family business, from divorce lawyer to wedding planner!
I subsequently set up Mijas & Estepona Weddings, a separate and independent company that works in conjunction with Mijas & Estepona Villas. I exclusively organise weddings and events in their properties.
The rest of my family have lived in Mijas and worked in the family business for over 15 years. I have been visiting the area since I was only a few months old (when my grandparents lived in villa Casa Adelante). So I really do know the area like a second home.
I'm located between the UK (Birmingham) and Spain (Mijas) and am happy to meet up with you, correspond by email, or pick up the phone.

The Ceremony
We can help you create your perfect, tailor-made ceremony, whether it is a religious affair or not. Our celebrants take the time to get to know every couple personally. They will guide and assist you in creating a truly unique ceremony. We are sure you will find that the grounds of our properties with their well-kept gardens and breath taking views are the perfect romantic backdrop to a very special day.
Food and Drink
Catering is a key point for many events and we have a number of options available to suit every taste and budget. We can cater for all types of events including hog roasts, paellas and barbecues, as well as more formal gala wedding breakfasts and gourmet dinners. Our caterers will be only too pleased to help you through the process.
For many people it wouldn't be a wedding without a bit of drink! Whether you'd like wine for the tables, cocktail bars, a drinks reception or a whole lot more we can arrange a full range of drinks at your wedding, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
We can also plan champagne receptions, canapés, chocolate fountains and more, either at the wedding, family get-together or any old excuse event.
Photographers
Each event and each couple have a different idea (and budget) from what they want from a photographer. Our handpicked selection of photographers will ensure that the "must-take" weddings photos are not missed and the atmosphere is caught for you to look back on for years to come. Traditional, candid or posed shots can all be catered for, as well as "trash the dress" shoots should you wish.
Flowers
We can help guide you and make suggestions to create the perfect floral arrangements for your day or if you provide the picture, idea or colour scheme we can create the flowers.
Using exotic blooms and/or seasonal flowers our florists can bring a range of ideas to life including bouquets, full decoration of the venue, button holes, posies, flower crowns and more.
Hair and Beauty
Our top hairdressers, make-up artists and masseuses have worked all over the world (and speak a variety of languages should you need!). There is a full "menu" of treatments and packages to suit your every taste either on location at the property or away from the hustle and bustle in their salons.
Music
A DJ and disco for your special night, a sound system to ensure everyone can hear the ceremony, a band, a singer, or a Spanish guitarist to serenade you, it can all be organised.
We can also arrange other entertainment; most popular are traditional Spanish guitar or flamenco dancers.
Extra Touches
...some to make your day extra special and some you might not want to overlook (depending on your wedding's individual needs). You may wish to think about:
Venue decoration eg tree lights, candle sticks and chair covers with sashes, "this is your life" slide show presentations and marquees, stag dos and hen dos, personalised Spanish fans and almond bags, decoration and transport (if event away from the villa), disposable and Polaroid cameras, save the date and wedding invitations, accommodation for guests and child minding services, wedding cakes and videographers... and much more all at reasonable prices.
Guest Accommodation
We can also help you find suitable accommodation for all your guests, whether your event is being held with us or not. We can accommodate people wanting to have villas of different sizes close together, as well as apartments for guests wanting “their own space”.
