Beautifully & Luxuriously renovated to the highest of standards
The salon has double height ceilings and a wood burner for cool winter evenings. Sound system is provided by Bose. There is a separate TV room which has a 50" flat screen TV, SKY TV (free to view package) and a dvd player complete with a large selection of dvd's & cd's.
Each bedroom has been individually designed with it's own ensuite bathroom/shower room. The master suite is split over two levels: on the ground floor is a dressing room (can also be used as a single bedroom suitable for a child); upstairs is a King size four poster bed, open fire place & a TV with a dvd player. The master ensuite bathroom boasts a luxurious inset Jacuzzi bath & a walk-in shower. Guest bedroom 1 has a King size bed, walk-in dressing room and an ensuite bathroom with a fabulous Moroccan style bath with shower. Guest bedroom 2 has twin beds and and guest bedroom 3 as a double bed, both of these bedrooms have ensuite facilities.
The modern new kitchen is complete with top of the range appliances - a 5 gas hob Lacanche stove, double oven, combination oven/microwave, fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine etc. The washing machine & tumble dryer are located in a separate laundry room.
Next to the kitchen is a dining area with a glazed roof ... dine inside at night under the stars and look out onto the floodlit garden.
Continental breakfast is included at Finca de Palmero and if on occasions you would prefer the chef to prepare your meals this can be arranged. The three course evening meal per person is 30 Euros (wine is an extra cosat, please contact me for a sample menu).

The Mirador - has amazing views across the Andalucian countryside and over the Mediterranean, framed by the Rif mountains on the horizon. The Mirador seats 10 comfortably & for an afternoon siesta the 2 sofas double up as day beds ... this is where you would find me reading a book, sipping a sundowner or chilling with friends & family.
The inviting 10 metre long pool wraps around the Mirador and has gentle steps leading into the shallow end ... work up an appetite for a long leisurely lunch in the shade.
Stroll over to the outside bar and fire up the BBQ. Barbequing in Spain is a must! Why not take your time over lunch and BBQ some local fish bought at the market in Gaucin & sample some of the many excellent wines & beers that Spain has to offer. After lunch the only choice to be made is ... do you relax on a sun bed or seek a quiet spot in the garden away from it all for an afternoon siesta.
The bar area also has a log burner, fridge, freezer, cd-player, wc & shower and is located conveniently to the covered outdoor dining terrace. There are also space heaters to keep you warm on cool winter evenings.

The white washed village of Gaucin
With everything you would need for the perfect vacation right at Finca de Palmero you probably will not want to venture too far. But, if you do, the white washed village of Gaucin is only 7 km away.
This charming mountain village boasts sweeping views to Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of North Africa. The centre of the village is a tangle of narrow streets and was once a refuge for brandy and tobacco smugglers who travelled through the surrounding hills.
Standing above the village are the magnificent remains of Castillo del Aguila (Eagle's Castle), Gaucin's main focal point and visible from miles away. For bird lovers this is one of the best places in Spain, you can see eagles circling the towers and kestrels can be found nesting in the walls of the medieval convent.
There are two riding stables just outside the village that offer guided walks, treks, nature trails and bird watching expeditions.
Cork forests surround the village and in tourist shops you will find many items made from the local cork.
For such a small town there is a very good selection of bars and restaurants serving mouth watering local cooking as well as international cuisine.
Special Notes about Finca de Palmero
At Finca de Palmero we act as an agent for the owner & as such the terms & conditions are slightly different for this property to the others on our web site. The Finca is priced in euros, therefore the GBP prices are approximate, the euro rates are as follows: low season 2500 euros, mid season 3500 euros, high season 4500 euros. If you wish to pay in GBP rather than euros we will give you a 'spot' rate at the time of your reservation.
Deposit is 30% (non-refundable) & the balance due 28 days prior to arrival. The deposit & balance will be paid direct to the owner - details supplied at time of booking. The mandatory damage waiver fee does not apply to this property, instead on arrival there is a 500 euro cash deposit required to cover any damage during your stay - if no damage this will be returned to you on your departure day.
Check in is after 4 pm & check out by 11 am. At times other than high season this can be more flexible.
There is an English/Spanish speaking couple that act as house manager & cook. They live on site in a separate Casita, they will not intrude upon your holiday ... they are there to assist, and are available between 0900 and 1300 hrs. If requested they will also prepare lunch & dinner (extra charges) & baby sit (qualified children's nurse) - again at an additional charge.
